A cartoon by CHUN Gye-young, which was one of the most popular cartoons in the late 1990's, is made into an animation after 8 years of work. The film's leading characters, with appearances typical for girls' cartoons, are already popular as various licensed products. Four musical prodigies, who never had a chance to get a music education, meet in a band called "Recycled Band". In the band, they open their minds to each other and follow their dreams in music.

In 2009 the legendary British rock band Matsumoto Leiji on the production of their first video using Japanese animation.

The video combines Queen's signature song Bohemian Rhapsody with concepts from Out of Galaxy Koshika, a manga from Matsumoto and Sunsoft which started distribution through Nintendo Wii's Shopping Channel on April 14, 2009. The manga's story begins in Tokyo on September 9, 2099. A dimensional ship, under the command of a beautiful woman named Haguro You, launches into space to save Earth from imminent annihilation. A young boy named Umino Hajime finds himself coming aboard for the adventure that unfolds. Secrets are revealed about Hajime and a silver cat pendant with an unknown power.

Part of the video was unveiled on 24 November, 2009 — the 18th anniversary of former Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury's ing — in special events in Tokyo and Osaka. The full video became available on Japanese mobile phone distribution sites on December 23.

Dressed in the penguin costume her father gave her, little Coco has become obsessed with the idea of flying. During one of her many nighttime getaways, a strange cat mistakes her for a legendary heroine and takes her to his world, the world of elves, where everyone hopes she will help them get rid of a terrible threat. As Japanese animation blows out its fifty candles, maestro Rintaro s the party with a marvelous children's tale, completely computer generated and in exquisite 3D, with which he once again pays a warm tribute to Osamu Tezuka and where everything is color and fantasy. The slapstick comedy revolves around a female lamb named Machiko, the former biker-gang-member-turned-fishmonger Toshio, the trash collector Aguri, and the other colourful inhabitants of a fanciful version of the Champs Elysees shopping district.

Note: Biglobe claims that this is the first anime to be distributed by email, although what will actually be sent in each email message from the fictional character Yutori-chan to s is a URL address to a video. There was a limited free preview of the first four episodes that was distributed from December 29 to December 31.

Cobra the infamous space pirate decides to change his face and to clear all his memories. He becomes a common guy, with a common job, and a very boring life, but suddenly he starts ing his true identity and new adventures begin.

She is able to see if women around her are wearing fitting underclothes and has to point out these lingerie faux pas. In order to educate the students about the proper knowledge of underwear, she decides to set up the Underwear Club.

Note: Every TV broadcast was heavily censored. Together they try to get the attention of their caretaker, Yamamoto Nanako, who supervises the class next door. Tsuchida has just started working at the Hanamaru Kindergarten, and, as the first and only male teacher at the school, he is particularly nervous.

For this great war, seven magi shall gather together in Fuyuki. Each magus becomes a Master, and each Master summons a Servant, a spirit of a mighty hero of the past that, due to their almost almighty powers in life and to the faith people have put in them through the times, ascend to a higher level of existence, outside of time. Together, Master and Servant fight against the other teams for the possession of the Holy Grail, a relic said to be almighty and grant any wish, no matter how great. However, in order to allow the winning Master and Servant to be granted one wish each, all other teams must be defeated, and the enemy Servants annihilated. That war is thus called the Holy Grail War. The Holy Grail War has happened four times so far, and the fifth one is about to take place.

The hero each Servant was in life has fame, and as such their lives are well-known. By knowing the true name of a Servant, one clearly also knows its strengths and weaknesses; thus, it is the custom for each team to hide the identity of their Servant and try to find out those of the other ones. To better hide the identity, the Servants are usually referred to by their classes, Assassin.

One night, Shirou witnesses a fight between two servants, Archer and Lancer. To preserve the secrecy of the War, Lancer mortally wounds him. However, a girl who up until now was just a classmate of his and the school idol, Toosaka Rin, saves his life by pouring all the magical energy from a pendant into fixing his heart. However, he gets attacked by Lancer again, and this time Rin will not be able to save him. Just as he's about to die for good, he unwittingly summons Saber, who promptly drives Lancer off. The powerful sword turns to Shirou and asks whether he is her Master, much to his bewilderment. In spite of being just a rank amateur, he now has to fight a war between powerful and experienced magi. He and Saber decide to agree with a partnership with Rin, but Rin's servant, Archer, seems to despise him utterly for a reason. Can this partnership hold when one of the four seems so absolutely keen on getting rid of another?

Hanasaki Tsubomi is a girl in the second grade of middle school who likes flowers and plants. One day she experiences a weird dream. In that dream a large blooming tree appears. Suddenly it is losing all of its flowers and a fairy appears.

A few days later after Tsubomi has transferred to Meidou Gakuen, suddenly the fairy from the dream appears before her and pleads to Tsubomi to become the legendary warrior Pretty Cure and protect the Tree of Hearts. However, Tsubomi declines as she doesn't think that she would be able to do that.

However, a mysterious enemy suddenly strikes and steals the heartflower of Kurumi Erika, Tsubomi's new classmate. Now she doesn't have a choice. To retrieve Erika's heartflower she has to transform into Pretty Cure and fight.

Working up the courage Tsubomi turns into Cure Blossom and a new chapter of the Legendary Warrior Pretty Cure begins!

Following the destruction of the magical floating device, the Magic Academy falls to earth, but unfortunately lands on and breaks a demon seal, releasing hundreds of ancient demons into the forest around the academy. The teachers are barely keeping the demons away and are desperately searching for the pieces of the floating device. So to earn more magic stones, all of the students from Amelia's class decide to leave the academy (even though they were told not to) to find the missing pieces.
