Hmm...as much as I like Gintama it would have been better if they just waited till they have enough new material really, If I wanted to watch old episodes I would just go do that, but hey it's better than not coming back at all.
Well, if its anything like the original Yoriniku Gintama-san, then there will be new OP/ED's plus some cleaned up animation. Either way though, this is just another excuse for them to troll us. Every week we'll go in hoping for a new episode and the new OP's will fill us with certainty that this is indeed the week that we get a new episode ... only to promptly crush all hopes and dreams when we see its a repeat.
From a personal perspective, it's good since I haven't seen Gintama' yet. So I might as well just skip that one and just watch this one instead.
But that's not neeto, at all. It says only a few selected episodes will be repeated, in addition to some new episodes.
I don't really see there that the episodes they're repeating are from Gintama' or Gintama, it could be both, or only one. But this is not a substitute of the second season and I doubt they are going to repeat that much, it would be a humongous stupidity.

That was only for the first series' re-run, we don't know how many episodes from the second one will be repeated. I believe that Yorinuki Gintama-san was only about 50 episodes long (correct me if I'm wrong) instead of 201. So that may or may not give us an insight on how many episodes will be re-aired.

I seriously doubt that they'll include episodes from the first series since they already did a condensed re-run of it once.

It happend to Haruhi 2009, might as well happen here.

They will probably make fun of that, in one of episodes xD

Yeah, but...this has 1 month of interval. DB Kai has 13 years of difference (a remake by this point could make sense due to quality and such), Haruhi 3 years or something, this has 1 month.
I don't know, it just seems pointless, sometimes I don't understand them.
I was just doing my math and if they broadcast alternatively an old and a new episode they can go on endlessly without reaching the manga...
I know, I'm a genius
I don't think that will happen , since when SkatDance reaches enough material they'll broadcast again that shit...
i don't mind watching old episodes if there will be new episodes too. but if this anime turn into another "endless eight" arc from haruhi i will drop it immediatly. i love Gintama as it is.
