A journey to the center of the mind or dreamworld trip is a "visit" that involves characters entering and visiting another character's mind, the "dreamworld", a place that only exists in the mind of an asleep and dreaming person, or, more generally, any place in someone's mind or other world that is not part of reality; in anime, this means the characters' reality, not our own.
The trip can be benign, accidental, or malicious. For example, a villain may entrap a character in a dream world and erase the trapped person's memories.
Not to be confused with dream sequence, where a sleeping character has a dream, and the episode's plot includes playing through that dream.
