Anime: Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darouka Gaiden: Sword Oratoria 3o504x

This is NOT just a spin-off/filler series. There is a real story here AND it adds to the story told in season 1 of DanMachi.
It introduces a few new characters and fleshes out some that only had cameos in S1. Plenty of good story and character development.
I had low expectations going in, BUT, my opinion quickly changed as I got about 3 eps in.
I'm actually hoping for another season of this.

I actually enjoyed this MORE than I expected. As others have mentioned it's really an alternative retelling of season 1 or more like showing you the WHOLE story from Ais' perspective. THE ONE thing I absolutely loathed in this season was Lefiya's character overall. Its impossible to like her stupid antiques, whinny personality and constant expression of the fact that she likes girls. It feels like the series is forcing us to sympathize with this secondary character way too much.

Overall after this season I came to actually like Ais and even root for her in the harem to romance race. Overall I believe it's a necessary watch if you wish to experience the whole DanMachi experience

I like Ais. She's airheaded and cute especially when she's pouting and when she's around Bell. Also I like her familia. They are fun with Loki around.

The animation and character design ist gorgeous as usual and the action was great again to watch. I wouldn't mind watching more of this especially since I'm a fan of watching or reading a story with multiple perspectives.

But what I mostly enjoyed in season one was truly Bell with Hestia and also with his friends. Bell is simply my magnet to this series and he had in this spin-off to less time. But now I know what to anticipate in the future seasons of Bells - hopefully!

This takes place concurrently to the first season, but from the perspective of the Loki familia and with a (slightly) different, darker, more serious tone.

It draws back the curtains on a lot of what's really going on in the world, lots of worldbuilding and political intrigue between the different gods. It even heavily recontextualises a ton of things we saw in Bell's version of the events.

All of that makes it feel a lot more meaty than the previous season, despite some reused scenes, and I was honestly surprised at how interwoven everything is and that it was almost exclusively new content.

Overall, I liked it better, but since it genre-shifted a little - slightly away from comedy and towards drama - that's more reflective of my preferences than the quality. Recommended either way. *thumbsup*

tl,dr: Less harem fun-times, more dramatic fantasy plot, same quality level.

If you liked the main story (which I did), you'll find this interesting. A lot of it could have easily been integrated into the main story, but then this definitely would have felt like filler.

Sword Oratoria is not a sequel as it shows a lot of the events from Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? from Ais’s perspective. While it was cool seeing the same events from a different angle, seeing the adventures Ais and her party went on was highly interesting. Even though this anime was entertaining, I do hope the next release continues the adventures of Bell.

Really enjoyable "side story" to Danmachi telling the (basically whole) story from Ais' perspective. Has some fun crosses with the original series and just a bit more information to make you want more.

Slow start with several distraction but heats up towards the end. And mashes up pretty well with Bell Cranel's Danmachi.

Like everyone said, its a side story of the original Danmachi, which focuses on Aiz. And weirdly, 1st half of season it focuses on Lefiya's perspective towards Aiz but somehow seems always got sidetracked. Lefiya along with several other characters were pretty annoying as well. Add that with merry-go-round of unclear plot, the beginning was tough.

Things improves midway. The plot settles with clear direction and intermingling of plot with Bell and Hestia (though very minimal). It also focus back to Aiz and a greater ending plot. And finally an epic battle at the end. Animation and action scenes are pretty much similar with original Danmachi. And it was all fun and happy again.

All in recommended watch if you did Bell & Hestia's Danmachi. Else you might wan to catch that one first before this. Still an enjoyable watch in the end. 6/10

This follows the same timeline, but shown in different perspectives. Overall a good watch to fill in on the details of the Loki family. I hope they come out with a continuation of the main story line soon.

Some of the characters are really annoying to watch in this side story like Lefiya and Bete.

This is the other story of dungeon ni Deai following protagonist Ais Wallenstein instead of Bell it explain a little what the familia of Ais were up to while the story of bell was happening. There's some scene that most of you would recognize like the training he did with Ais and the minotaur scene.

Overall the anime is pretty much the same has the first one but with a different protagonist and story both ends at the same ending
