Contrary to some claims, this show bears almost no resemblance to Hellsing—neither in vampire lore, abilities, fights, storytelling, vibe, nor overall execution. The vampires here could creatively be considered citizens of another race (not very traditional vampire at all).
As for characters, nearly all male characters—even most side characters—come across as a fusion of childlike and feminine traits. Those who initially seem more "normal" often undergo multipleinstances where they exhibit this “child-woman” behavior. There are very few exceptions to this.
The interactions feel inexperienced, as though the author lacks the finesse in this area. While comedy and “cute” art styles are often used to provide comic relief in other works, here they are overused to the point of undermining the tone.
