well it more on the war side but there characters that come close to Elf's haven't read all the chapters of the manga but one might shows up later.

Madan no Ou to Vanadis: Adventure, fantasy, sound good to me. But how come it doesn't have elves? Elf is must in fantasy show!

Luckily it doesn't cross the Ecchi into Hentai so that probarly why it got that rating. anyway when you asked me to recommend any fall new anime? you have got to check out Madan no Ou to Vanadis. I know you said your not into the whole deep plot thing. since it gets deep for only it's first episode. but the character design artwork and Music to this series is beautiful if you looking for a great series With Harem aspect, a little bit of comedy to keep you interested and enough action to make you want to see all the episodes Madan no Ou to Vanadis is a miss see!
