Light-hearted comedy with a surprising amount of solid basic information about working out and staying healthy.

The most surprising thing to me wasn't the accuracy of the info, but how much focus the show put on it. There's no plot, no contrived romance, no moeblob situations, only people trying to get healthy together with just enough crazy situations thrown in to keep it from being boring.

Solid show, solid advice, general recommendation.

There are a lot of frankly stupid situations, phrases and poses, but most are justified by the comedic nature of anime.
Otherwise, it is a good example of acquaintance and motivation to take care of your body with sport and gym trainings, in the form of one of the most popular elements of our time: almost nude male and female body and "fan service".

Might not be for everyone and I only picked it up because of unusual premise. Turned out very nice and informative. Also since I train watching anime it was nice in theme for me.

I am not a fan of sports anime in general, but i pikced this up after seeing a clip somewhere, and it seemed to just have "something"
I don't know what it has but i can't wait for season 2.
And i suddenly want to work out!
Only the japanese can pull this kind of madcap combination off, i don't know why it works but it works.

If you're interested or actually working out, this anime has tons of great info about exercises, wrong & correct forms, the muscles being targeted and of course, cute girls showing the exercise to you the viewer. While this anime is informative with different types of exercises, this can get stale as workouts are the main focus.

Out-muscled, out-rep my expectations all round.

Its a well buffed, all rounded radio taisou with lots of bonus material. Like a balanced workout, Dumbbell balances well btwn workout segments, side plots, comedy & fanservice.

Impressed at how spot on accurate the workout & instructions. Each week u get (gym) workout explanation (includes focused muscle groups), complete with precautions, posture checks, sometimes healty & dietry advices; topped off with an indoor exercise u can do along while watching!

Fun value comes from a great set of varied character (female gym goers & some hunks), mixed with hints of parody - providing ample chuckles. Fan service comes with great art work & animation; top notch! Oh wait not only do u get beautiful female curve its fair game; you get lots of hunk muscles too! OP music is upbeat and make me wanna hit the gyms

Want a healthier lifestyle accompanied by good entertainment while beholding well toned fanservice? Here it is. 9/10 for me!

To be honest I was expecting a lot of jokes, and less gym related stuff but this is actually pretty entertaining and they actually explain proper form and how not to overwork to some viewer this might feel like body shaming but its actually giving fact. So take it at heart just enjoy the anime.
